New Beginnings – On this first Sunday of a new year, we bid farewell to Pastor Rob and his family. And we prayerfully contemplate this new beginning, trusting in God’s leading and companionship. Today is a new beginning.
Preacher: Rev. Rob Kirbach
Choose Praise – As we celebrate the joy of God-with-us in the birth of Christ, our joy is full of wonder as we sing our praise! (Psalm 148)

Choose to Trust – Matthew shares the good news that Joseph will become a father of a child he is to name Emmanuel – God with us. And we become more aware of how God is with us in our everyday living. (Matthew 1:18-25)

Choose a New Song – We join Mary in praise of all that God can do by joining her song and finding ways that the song shifts our perspective of ordinary things. (Luke 1:47-55)
Also today, we celebrate the Baptism of Bennett Kirbach!

Choose a Better Way – Isaiah invites us into a wild possibility of tiny buds of hope and finding harmony together on God’s holy mountain, and we see its power through a child-like lens. (Isiah 11:1-10)

Choose Hope – As we begin the season of Advent – a season of wonder – we look and see where we might find Christ in our ordinary lives. And the words of a prophet inspire us to choose hope and anticipate peace. (Isaiah 2:1-5)

Reign of Christ – On this last Sunday of the Church Year, we anticipate a renewed Creation, which God envisioned in the One sent to transform and save. (Colossians 1:11-20)

Guest Preacher – We welcome back to our church Rev. Paul Militzer as our guest preacher!
Pastor Paul is the Executive Director of the Community Hope Center — a neighborhood ministry serving low-income individuals and families in Madison County’s “Riverbend” area.
The Strength of our Witness – In a moment when a man in a tree and a man on the ground meet, we consider the many ways God’s love is made visible in our daily lives, in the community, and around the world. (Luke 19:1-10)
Also, we celebrate All Saints Day with a moment of remembrance for our loved ones who have departed this life in the past year.
