Young people take pride in their strength, but the gray hairs of wisdom are even more beautiful.
Three times each month, our Pastor, with the help of the Missions to the Elderly Committee, conducts Worship Services at three area nursing facilities. On the first Sunday of each month, the service is held at Highland Home at 6:30 PM. On the second Friday of each month, the Pastor travels first to Faith Countryside Apartments at 9:30 AM, then to the Highland Healthcare facility at 10:15 AM. Each service lasts approximately one half hour and consists of a short sermon or devotional, singing, and prayer. Members of our church, or anyone else who requests it, who are residents in these homes and are shut-ins are also served Communion by request so that they can choose to participate in this very important ordinance as their other Christian brothers and sisters do. The residents of these homes greatly appreciate these services and are greatly blessed by them.
In addition, each Christmas morning, members of our congregation meet first at the church for breakfast before going to visit these same three homes to sing Christmas carols - a ministry which is as much a blessing for the participants as it is for the residents of the homes.
We invite you to accompany us to any of these services and share in the blessings!
